    Well enough about loitering on the island, it's time to talk about recreation. Most hotels are concentrated in two places - Paradise Island and Cable Beach. Built in modernist style with Baroque curlicues of shells and dolphins, the hotel Atlantis is striking both outside and inside. Going through the maze of chic boutiques and the largest casino in the Caribbean, with thousands of one-armed bandits, you come to a central hall and begin to behave like the heroes of The Time Traveler movie: you shake your head in all directions with an open mouth and with an expression of respectful admiration. Interest in lost civilization and the underwater world can be traced in every single detail.
     I went to dine in a restaurant and saw a glass wall of the ruins with shoals of fish. I decided to take a walk after a meal - but then again these fish: swimming with the stingrays, but the one here with the sharks. I pulled on a bathing costume and went to the water park (one of them built in the Mayan pyramid) - and there is no salvation from the fish: one of the slides showed a shark. In short, the choice of the Bahamas as a place for the New Year celebration proved perfect. What is going on in the hotel Atlantis that night, we can only describe as "crazy." No wonder the place is chosen for their Christmas get-togethers by sports and show-business stars: Michael Jordan and Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross. But the culmination was the night of Dzhonkonu parade - a sort of carnival in Rio, just a smaller scale. Begun at 3 am, this colorful magical spectacle ended when the sun was already high. On New Year's night, on the way to Dzhonkonu parade, I walked past a group of locals. One of them asked of my opinion about the work of Eminem. It turned out that our tastes matched and he invited me to sing along. And then the two tipsy eccentrics were shouting: “I` m sorry, mama, I never meant t? hurt you ...”. After the concert artists warmly thanked each other.
